Assembly & Test Technician

Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Location:

Elma, NY 14059 Shift Details:
This position is for 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). Employees will receive a 10% shift differential from the date of hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and inspection of production, prototype, development, and qualification hardware.
  • Assemble and diagnose complex hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electronic, and hybrid hardware using engineering drawings, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
  • Operate inspection equipment, hydraulic test systems, electrical equipment, pumping systems, and environmental test equipment.
  • Support engineering and Assembly & Test teams with production, development, and qualification activities.
  • Record and maintain accurate production logs, test data, quality records, and related documentation.
  • Assist in developing Assembly & Test procedures, failure analysis reports, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, product quality, and troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, safety initiatives, and team-based activities.
  • Train team members on assembly, testing, and processing methods to improve workforce flexibility and operational efficiency.
  • Provide internal and external customer support while supporting company initiatives and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Experience operating test equipment, inspection tools, and related instrumentation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and production records.
  • Experience supporting process improvements, quality initiatives, and lean manufacturing activities preferred.
