Packaging Operator

Location: East Durham

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the packaging and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Pay Range: $24.75/hr + Overtime*
* ** Shift:
** 12-hour shifts, 2/2/3 rotation, 7:00pm-7:30am

** What's the Job?*
* + Operate state-of-the-art fully automated toothpaste packaging lines operating at speeds up to 450 tubes per minute

+ Handle packaging materials including cases, cartons, shippers, labels, wrap, caps, corners, pallets, and finished goods

+ Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment to ensure optimal performance

+ Perform autonomous maintenance activities to keep production lines running smoothly

+ Assist maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance tasks and conduct inventory checks of packaging materials and products

** What's Needed?*
* + High school diploma or GED

+ Ability to work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off

+ Basic computer skills including data entry, email, and Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Credential requirements: 100004, 100003, 100065, 100069, 100041, 100067

+ Willingness to perform quality checks, document results, and identify process improvements
