Line Lead
The Line Lead is responsible for ensuring that the assigned line/cell is running in an efficient manner. Finds solutions to problems that occur while the cell is in production and is a liaison to Operations Performance Manager. He/she ensures production operators receive required on the job instructions to be successful and supported in their role. Identifies if formal training or instruction is needed and communicates to leaders and training team to ensure employee is supported.
This opening is for our 3rd shift - 11:00PM - 7:30AM
- Monday
- Friday. 3rd Shift Differential = $1.50 per hour.
Communicates issues, priorities, and workflow to Operations Performance Manager and supervisor at shift start and throughout. Promotes Good Manufacturing Processes and food safety practices among production operators. Manages accurate shift reporting, handoffs, and workflow updates. Monitors procedure execution by production operators. Addresses process halts, quality concerns, and compliance issues. Validates completion of HACCP and safety checks. Ensures equipment performance and organized work areas.
Stays updated on standards impacting the line/cell. Validates employee knowledge and skills, offers feedback. Tracks training requirements and maintains records. Ensures accurate training materials and documentation. Collaborates on training matrices and resource planning. Provides input to improve documentation and consistency. Coordinates coverage for required training. Collaborates on refining standard procedures for productivity, safety, and quality. Participates in focus groups and leads improvement initiatives.
Identifies performance improvement opportunities and communicates them. Drives implementation of new procedures and company initiatives. Provides coaching and feedback to improve team performance. Coaches production operators on tasks and behaviors. May fill in for Production Supervisor on an as needed basis.
Self-starter and disciplined. Motivated to do your best work each day. A continuous learning and improvement mindset is a must. Team player and constructive conflict management skills are key skills for success. The ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations is also essential. Willingness to offer suggestions on ways to improve assigned work. Ability to follow and implement written or oral instructions.
Punctuality is a must. Must sufficiently pass a mechanical aptitude assessment provided by Baldwin Richardson Foods. Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.
