Overview The Production Planner is responsible for managing production schedules, ERP execution, and inventory flow in a fast-paced processing environment. This role ensures daily production plans are accurate, achievable, and aligned with business needs. Responsibilities
- ERP & Master Data (Items, BOMs, Accuracy)
- Own all item setup and maintenance in Dynamics 365 F&O
- Build and maintain formulas (BOMs) that reflect actual production yields and processes
- Continuously adjust BOMs based on:
Yield performance, Trim loss and shrink, Production feedback - Ensure accuracy across:
Units of measure, Catch weights, Variable yields - Regularly audit item master and BOM data to ensure the system matches what is happening on the floor
- Production Planning & Daily Execution Targets
- Build and own daily and weekly production plans
- Set clear daily targets for:
Volume, Yield expectations, and Throughput - Ensure plans are realistic and executable based on labor availability, Equipment capacity, and Space constraints
- The production team executes against your plan — you are accountable for the plan being right
- Capacity, Labor & Space Planning
- Ensure total planned volume stays within operational capacity
- Factor in labor availability and crew sizing, Line capacity and bottlenecks, Storage and staging space
- Own visibility into raw material slotting and storage constraints
- Adjust plans proactively to avoid congestion, inefficiency, or missed production
- Inventory, Freshness & Shrink Ownership
- Build and manage par levels (min/max) by SKU
