3rd Shift_ Machinist I_ Onsite

Location:

United States – 2800 Division Ave, Plant 52, New York, USA.

• Perform machine setup and runs on surface grinders and milling machines.
• Read, interpret, and comprehend engineering drawings, manufacturing and quality standards, and work instructions.
• Monitor tooling for wear, usage, and change as needed.
• Monitor part‑specific dimensional tolerances while operating and identify non‑conforming features.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.).
• Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals.
• Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, petroleum‑based oils, and chemical vapors.
• Obtain and maintain required inspection certifications.
• Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

• Precision surface grinding and other CNC equipment operation.
• Cross‑functional collaboration across manufacturing processes.
• Experience with inspection equipment.

3rd shift (Sunday – Thursday, 11:00pm – 07:00am).

• HS diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals.
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn and use multiple applications.
• Experience with measurement equipment (gauges, calipers, etc.).
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and grinders.
• Experience maintaining tight tolerances (< 0.0005”).
