Wallboard Quality Sample Temp

Qualifications:
Must be able to lift and carry samples up to 20 lbs
-with assistance as needed.
Must come wearing steel toe/safety toe boots (must meet ASTM F2413-05 standard)
Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is required
Experience using a standard tape measure is required.
Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.
The assigned temp must adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working onsite.
Physical requirements may include walking, standing, lifting, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.

Responsibilities:
The assigned temp will work on the production floor reporting to the Quality Supervisor. The temp will cut wallboard samples at regular intervals throughout an 8 hr shift (usually every 30 minutes-1 hour). The temp will cut samples of the wallboard with a utility knife (wearing cut gloves), and will take some basic measurements of the wallboard using a tape measure (and write the measurements down on a log sheet).
Work Days:
Monday-Saturday, with the opportunity for an Wednesday off depending on business operations.
Shift

Hours:

Training period 7:00am-3:00pm for the first two weeks. Shift will be 11:00am-7:00pm thereafter. The temp may be asked to adjust hours slightly to fill gaps in coverage.
The assigned temp must adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working onsite. Will be required to wear PPE (hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, hi vis vest, and safety boots), and cut gloves when using utility knife to cut samples.

-this will be the training/acclimation period. Shift hours might vary slightly to fill in gaps for coverage.
