Assembler - Manufacturing

Our client, a Manufacturing Conglomerate, is looking for multiple Manufacturing Assemblers for their East Setauket, NY location.

• Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• Frequently interacts with peers and customers to exchange or present factual information.
• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

• 2 years of related experience
• Substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• High School (Diploma or GED)
• Previous Mechanical Assembly experience; some with testing
• Ability to solder
• Experience with regular tools, Caliper, micrometer etc. and other various power tools
