Electronics Technician II – 2nd Shift (Onsite – Buffalo, NY)

Job Summary

Our Team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Electronics Technician II to join them. The role reports to the Performance Leader and will work onsite, second shift in East Aurora, NY.

Responsibilities
  • Work from assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, parts lists, and other instructions.
  • Maintain process certification per company specifications and traceability of all hardware and materials.
  • Operate and interpret test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, data acquisition systems, current and sensing probes) for test and troubleshooting.
  • Use computer-based test consoles, fluing probe, and bench terminal setups.
  • Establish setups for performance tests for assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and systems, including fixtures, tooling, equipment, and possible temperature chamber use.
  • Work with Engineering to diagnose common test failures and recommend or perform rework while maintaining unit integrity.
  • For complex problems, conduct fault isolation, analysis, and define corrective rework, including necessary work‑arounds to meet schedule commitments.
  • Assemble special test setups to engineer requirements beyond standard design for problem unit analysis.
  • Use computers and software; work in Excel (including complex functions) with spreadsheets and applications.
  • Document drawing or test nonconformances.
  • Review build schedules with Assembly Supervisor or Assembly Department Lead.
  • Meet established time standards on work assignments.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • At least 3 years of related electrical testing experience.
  • Or an associate’s degree or certificate in electronics technology or related field with 1 year of experience.
  • Or a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Follow strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.).
  • Employee enrollment and participation in Moog’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement.

Compensation

Hourly Salary Range: $30.00–$36.00 (Buffalo, NY)

Base salary is part of Moog’s total compensation package and may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, and other region‑specific benefits.
