- Use a variety of hand tools to remove burrs or sharp edges.
- Perform machine setup and runs on laser marking machines.
- Assemble components.
- Read, interpret, and comprehend process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions.
- Monitor part‑specific dimensional tolerances while performing the operation and identify non‑conforming part features.
- Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.).
- Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals.
- Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, oils (petroleum‑based products), and chemical vapors from products during normal manufacturing.
- Obtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s).
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- 2nd shift:
Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm.
- Precision deburring process to print specifications.
- Setup and operation of laser markers.
- Reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Cross‑functional collaboration through various types of manufacturing and processes.
- Experience with a variety of inspection equipment.
Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (or in lieu of a diploma, 2 years of relevant experience).
- Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job‑specific applications).
Prefer:
- Experience with measurement equipment (gauge, caliper, etc.).
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.
