Line Operator - All Shifts

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a motivated Plating Line Operator to join our team. As a Plating Line Operator you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands‑on approach. The role focuses on setting up, operating and tending to plating tanks and offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with our Leadership Team for career advancement.

Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing in the Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!

• Machine Operation:
  • Setup, operate, and/or tend plating tanks.
  • Perform regular chemical additions to maintain optimal plating solution concentrations and ensure consistent quality of plated products.
  • Immerse parts in plating tanks for specified times based on customer specifications.
  • Adjust controls to regulate flow of current and voltage supplied to the system.
  • Observe gauges to ensure that machines are operating properly; make adjustments or stop machines when problems occur.
  • Rack and un‑rack parts.
  • Perform equipment maintenance including cleaning tanks and housekeeping.
• Quality Control:
  • Visual Inspection/Defect Identification:
    Inspect plate parts for defects such as air bubbles, flaking, or uneven coverage.
  • Adherence to Specifications:
    Verify that the product aligns with work instructions and customer requirements.
• Collaboration:
  • Team Communication:
    Coordinate with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Feedback Loop:
    Provide feedback to Supervisor on challenges or improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
    Wear gloves, safety glasses.
  • Work Area Safety:
    Maintain a safe work environment.
• Other:
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Standing:
      Must stand for extended periods.

      Must lift up to 50 pounds.

      Must bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach.
  • Quality Standards:
    Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am–3:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm
• 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11:00pm–7:30am

• Wage: $18.00–$21.00 per hour
  • Competitive Shift Differentials:
    • 2nd Shift: Additional $1.50/hour
    • 3rd Shift: Additional $2.00/hour
  • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
