Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production & Sourcing Coordinator to oversee manufacturing and sourcing operations for our wholesale business. This role is responsible for managing production timelines, coordinating with overseas vendors, sourcing new products, and ensuring product quality from development through final delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, fluent in both English and Mandarin, and experienced in working with overseas factories, particularly in China.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee production with manufacturing partners in China.
- Source new products and identify market trends and business opportunities.
- Manage production schedules to ensure orders are completed and delivered on time.
- Communicate daily with overseas factories, vendors, and suppliers.
- Monitor product quality and implement quality control procedures throughout the production process.
- Issue purchase orders and track order status from placement through delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and production terms with manufacturers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material replenishment as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing factory partners while identifying new sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Resolve production, quality, and shipping issues proactively to minimize delays.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in wholesale production, sourcing, or manufacturing coordination required.
- Experience in wholesale, importing, consumer products, or related industries preferred.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to commute to New York, NY.
