R2 are on the lookout for a dedicated and motivated Packaging Designer to join a growing team within a fast-paced consumer products business. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented professional with a passion for packaging development, technical design, and production.

In this role, you'll take ownership of packaging projects from initial concept through to final production, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers to deliver innovative, commercially viable packaging solutions. You'll play a key role in ensuring all packaging and trim components meet brand standards, production requirements, and regulatory guidelines while supporting multiple product launches and business initiatives.

If you have experience creating production-ready artwork, developing structural packaging concepts, working with PLM systems, and managing packaging projects in a retail, apparel, or consumer goods environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What they are looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience with packaging production, technical artwork preparation, and trim development within a consumer products or retail environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other business productivity software.
  • Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to manage product and packaging information.
  • Knowledge of retail ticketing, barcode, and RFID management systems, including similar software used for label creation and production.
  • Ability to develop technical drawings, production-ready artwork, CAD layouts, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, production methods, print processes, and cost considerations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and production deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and ensure production accuracy before manufacturing.
What is in it for me:
  • A base salary of up to $95,000
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Strong PTO + holidays
  • 401k matching
  • Life insurance
  • Long and short term disability
  • Plus many more!
