Job Description

Industrial machine operator responsible for basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts using semi‑automatic equipment such as pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, and ultrasonic washers. Handles parts and tools safely and ensures compliance with quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonics washers.
Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
Proper use of power and manual tools, e.g. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Skills and Competencies

Technical capacity
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
Good mechanical skills.
Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.
Organization skills.
Time management.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Communication must be clear; hearing is required.

Required

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
One to two years of related experience.
