CNC Machinist​/Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Poughkeepsie, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment while contributing to the production of high-quality components.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $35–$40 per hour, based on experience

Shifts Available: 1st Shift or 2nd Shift

The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines, making tool offsets, troubleshooting production issues, and performing quality inspections. Programming or editing experience is a plus.

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machining equipment
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain efficient production
• Prepare machines for production runs and ensure proper setup of materials and tooling
• Manufacture parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain material identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  
  Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and production requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, or CNC Setup Technician required
• Experience operating and setting up multi-axis CNC machinery
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators, CMMs, and vision systems
• Experience performing tool offsets and machine adjustments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience with Mastercam and/or Solid Works preferred
• Editing and programming experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
