* We are looking for a Machinist to join our Lansing, NY team.

The Machinist is responsible for setting up machines for Operators. This individual will also have experience reading drawings and manufacturing parts.

** Hourly rate:**  $24-$25/hour

* + Manufacture and inspect detailed parts from drawings using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores and other machining equipment).

+ Being able to perform mathematical and geometrical calculations.

+ Determine how to set up machines based on instructions received and perform minor repairs of equipment.

+ Responsible for keeping work area clean and free from safety hazards and to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.

** What You Bring*
* + Ability to read and interpret process worksheets, inspect parts, set-up, operate and maintain set-ups of machines, and maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.

+ High school diploma.

+ Must be able to communicate effectively.

+ Ability to set up CNC lathes and mills preferred (6+ months or machinist schooling).

+ Wire EDM and waterjet experience are preferred.
