We are actively seeking to hire highly skilled professionals to meet our growing demand and join our expanding team(s).

We currently have an opening for a Test Technician I in our Dyco Electronics facility, located in Hornell, NY. This position is critical to the success of production testing and will support routine electrical testing of components and assemblies, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, technically curious, able to follow written procedures accurately, and comfortable working with small components and basic test equipment.

Details of the Role:

The position of Test Technician I will be responsible for performing routine electrical and mechanical testing of parts according to established procedures, documenting results, identifying failures, and supporting the production team. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to follow test instructions, operate basic test equipment, communicate discrepancies, and maintain proper documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing using meters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and other basic test equipment.
  • Follow work instructions, test procedures, and product specifications accurately.
  • Document all test results clearly and thoroughly.
  • Identify and report failures or abnormal readings.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting with guidance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized testing area.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Follow all safety procedures and reporting requirements.

Qualifying Attributes and

Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–1 year of experience in electronics, testing, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical concepts.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to use microscopes or magnifying tools on miniature parts.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to adjust focus and perform work requiring close vision.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to manipulate small tools and components.
