HMA Batch Plant Operator - Jordanville, NY

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Batch Plant Operator to support our Hot Mix Asphalt operation at the Jordanville Quarry. The position involves meeting daily production schedules, operating HMA plant equipment, performing general maintenance, and occasional operation of dump trucks and skid steers. The role requires flexibility to work at multiple locations and availability for overtime, Saturdays, and night shifts.

• Meet daily production schedules at the Hot Mix Asphalt plant.
• Operate plant equipment including conveyor belts, mixers, and auxiliary machinery.
• Conduct routine maintenance on plant equipment and assist with troubleshooting.
• Operate additional heavy equipment such as dump trucks and skid steers as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks and peripheral duties related to plant operation.
• Follow safety procedures, wear personal protective equipment, and maintain a safe work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with plant control systems.
• Solid mechanical skills for general maintenance tasks.
• Experience operating plant equipment and heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of hot mix asphalt production and operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, Saturdays, and night shifts.
• Capacity to learn basic welding and torch operation.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs., working in confined spaces, wearing protective equipment, and tolerating extreme temperatures.
