Production Manager
Job Description:
Purpose of the Job:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, assigning tasks, and overseeing hourly employees to meet production requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. This role ensures operational efficiency, promotes team motivation, and drives continuous improvement.
- Manage staff to ensure productivity and alignment with client satisfaction goals.
- Adapt quickly and make decisions to adjust plans/schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Participate in and lead initiatives such as 5S, Lean, and Kaizen events.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and employee motivational skills.
- Handle HR-related issues, including employee reviews and record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all organizational levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Supervise production staff and group leaders to ensure smooth and effective operations.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Technical Degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of production experience, with a preference for candidates with prior supervisory or lead roles.
- Proficiency in SAP for systems and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications for tools and presentations.
- Understanding of work standards and production processes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships and foster team collaboration.
- Aptitude for defining problems, gathering data, and making logical conclusions.
