Overview
A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic / PLC Technician to support production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production and packaging equipment while minimizing downtime.
Location:
Queens, NY Area
Industry: Food Manufacturing
Hours:
1:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of motors, VFDs, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with packaging, conveying, and high-speed production equipment preferred.
- Troubleshoot and repair production and packaging equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
- Support equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
