We're looking for an Electroplater to perform platinum electroplating and surface treatment processes on aerospace components. In this role, you'll prepare parts, operate plating equipment, monitor process parameters, inspect finished products, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with established quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Shift
: 4th shift, Friday‑Sunday 7:00am‑7:00pm
Union: This position is represented by Local 475
Shift Differential: Provide hourly shift differential
Starting Rate: $30.46/hr
Training: New hires must be available to train on 1st shift, Monday‑Friday, 7:00a‑3:00p for a minimum of 90 days before transitioning to their regularly assigned shift.
What You’ll Be Doing- Perform platinum electroplating on aerospace components in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
- Prepare parts for plating through cleaning, masking, and surface preparation processes.
- Operate electroplating equipment and monitor process parameters to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Inspect finished parts and verify coating quality.
- Measure coating thickness and critical dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform basic calculations to support plating operations, including thickness verification, current density adjustments, and process control checks.
- Complete production documentation, inspection records, and quality records accurately.
- Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
- Support production schedules while maintaining quality and process discipline.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements related to plating operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance.
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- 1+ years of electroplating, metal finishing, or surface treatment experience.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, or OEM requirements.
- Knowledge of plating chemistry, process control, and coating thickness requirements.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
