Job Description
Adecco is recruiting for a Maintenance Inventory Specialist to join a large manufacturer in the Cicero / North Syracuse, NY area. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting the company’s maintenance and operations teams paying $55 to 60k yearly, depending on experience, plus OT.
This role will play a key role in a major systems project and help with organizing and maintaining maintenance parts inventory. You'll also help digitally catalog parts, improve inventory accuracy, and support the implementation and ongoing use of preventive maintenance and work-order systems.
This could be a strong opportunity for an organized, tech-savvy recent graduate or an early-career professional with experience in inventory, manufacturing, maintenance support, purchasing, or project coordination.
What you'll be doing- Maintain accurate inventory records for maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
- Organize, label, store, and track parts within the facility.
- Enter and update parts information within computerized inventory and maintenance systems.
- Support a large project to digitally catalog existing parts and improve current processes.
- Assist maintenance employees with locating parts needed for repairs and equipment downtime.
- Communicate with vendors, track orders, and assist with purchasing and receiving activities.
- Handle data entry, shipping, receiving, package tracking, and related documentation.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and organized parts and storage areas.

- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience in inventory, parts, manufacturing, maintenance support, purchasing, or a related environment preferred.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with an ERP, inventory, preventive maintenance, or work-order system is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with manufacturing and maintenance terminology is helpful.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid New York State driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, patient, comfortable learning new systems, and able to take ownership of a detailed project involving data cleanup, organization, and process improvement.
