Liquid Asphalt Terminal Operator

Peckham Industries seeks an Asphalt Plant Operator to safely operate, monitor, and maintain asphalt production equipment in our Construction - Manufacturing & Production team. Responsibilities include batching to spec, monitoring temperature and moisture, performing routine inspections, and completing minor mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. You'll follow strict safety and environmental procedures, complete production and quality records, coordinate with trucking and paving crews, and support housekeeping and preventative maintenance.

As an employee-owner, you'll help deliver high quality materials for critical infrastructure projects across the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor asphalt plant controls to produce mixes to specification
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plant equipment
• Monitor material feed, temperatures, and moisture; adjust settings as needed
• Support quality control through sampling, recordkeeping, and communication with QC staff
• Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards on site
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and coordinate repairs
• Coordinate with trucking, dispatch, and paving crews to meet production schedules
• Complete daily production logs, inspection checklists, and maintenance records
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities
