About the Role

We are seeking a hands‑on Health & Safety Manager to lead and personally execute the Company's health, safety, housekeeping (5S), and environmental compliance initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities.

The primary responsibility of this position is to create and maintain safe workplaces, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and foster a strong safety culture by working directly alongside employees, supervisors, and leadership throughout our operations.

As our health and safety programs continue to mature, this role will identify and lead opportunities to improve workplace organization, housekeeping (5S), visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives that support safer and more efficient manufacturing operations.

This is not solely an administrative or compliance position. The successful candidate will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor building relationships, coaching employees, implementing practical improvements, and helping create a culture where safety, accountability, and continuous improvement become part of everyday operations.

While the responsibilities below represent the primary functions of the position, this role will continually identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, housekeeping, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Health, Safety & Workplace Organization
    • Personally develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Company's health and safety programs across multiple manufacturing facilities.
    • Build a culture where safety, housekeeping, organization, and accountability are fundamental responsibilities of every employee.
    • Spend significant time on the production floor identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and workplace organization.
    • Standardize safety and housekeeping practices across all company locations.
  • Housekeeping (5S) & Continuous Improvement
    • As the Company's safety programs continue to mature, identify and lead opportunities to improve workplace organization, housekeeping (5S), visual management, and operational efficiency across all facilities.
    • Develop organized work areas using visual management, standardized storage locations, labeling systems, shadow boards, floor markings, and workplace organization techniques.
    • Perform routine housekeeping inspections and correct deficiencies whenever practical.
    • Work directly with employees to reorganize work areas, remove unnecessary materials, improve layouts, and eliminate clutter.
    • Reduce unnecessary employee movement, trip hazards, blocked aisles, and inefficient work areas through continuous improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Environmental Programs
    • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Prepare, maintain, and submit environmental reports including wastewater, air emissions, hazardous waste, permits, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
    • Maintain environmental compliance systems and support future ISO 14001 initiatives if implemented.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact during environmental inspections and regulatory interactions.
  • Safety Inspections & Risk Reduction
    • Perform routine safety inspections throughout all facilities.
    • Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions whenever practical.
    • Conduct machine guarding,…
