Schedule

2nd or 3rd shift on a 5‑day workweek, with occasional overtime, off‑shift work, and up to 15% travel.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrate ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrate ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in assembly and test operations, and demonstrated experience with a minimum of at least 2 technologies which may include DDV, linear actuation, pumps & motors, rotary actuation, subcomponents, etc.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment and participation in the company’s F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program is a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) A T Technician IV, you will:

  • Conduct a wide variety of environmental, functional tests and measurements, including electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic test setups for development and qualification.
  • Establish setups for performance tests for assemblies, subassemblies and systems, including necessary fixtures, tooling, equipment and potentially use of temperature gages.
  • Provide support for all aspects of the A T process, including manufacturing, development, fixturing, tooling, test equipment, qualification, delivery and monitoring product producibility, with minimal to no training on new product lines.
  • Work with Engineering to diagnose common test failures and recommend or perform rework to correct discrepancies while maintaining the integrity of the unit.
  • Use fault isolation, analysis and definition of corrective rework, including necessary workarounds required to maintain schedule commitments when problems arise.
  • Strive to improve product quality, producibility, traceability and data records, initiating processes and safety efforts while maintaining integrity.
  • Interface with cross‑functional teams including Product/Manufacturing/Design Engineering, Planning, Operations, Quality and Program to provide recommendations and support production needs.
  • Use effective oral and written communication at all internal levels at Moog.
  • Implement, participate and promote lean concepts and activities.
  • Work from assembly drawings/prints, manufacturing outlines, operations worksheets, parts lists and other instructions, including collaboration with engineers to create work instructions or work from no instructions.
  • Maintain process certification per company specifications and prefer experience with solder, crimp and Alodine certifications.
  • Disassemble, reassemble and repair assemblies using equipment such as optical encoders and electromechanical assemblies such as actuators, motors and systems.
  • Assemble special test setups beyond standard design to help engineer analysis of problem units.
  • Document drawing or test nonconformances with high attention to detail and work with engineering and OPM for RCAS.
  • Review build schedules with Program Management and develop time standards with engineering.
  • Assist on production hardware as workload requires.
  • Work overtime between 5 and 11 hours per week and on an off shift occasionally to meet business needs.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.
