Aboutthe Role
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our project-based machine shop supporting Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. If you thrive in a low-volume, high-precision environment and want to contribute to national security efforts, this opportunity is for you.
What You’ll Do- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (G-code/Conversational).
- Manufacture complex parts to precise tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specs.
- Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to improve processes.
- Document work and maintain compliance with DoD and internal standards.
- Work with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a job or project shop.
- Proficient with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or MIL-SPEC quality standards.
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T.
- U.S. Citizenship (required for DoD projects).
- Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machines.
- CAM software experience (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Prior work in defense or aerospace manufacturing.
- Active security clearance.
