Dimar Manufacturing is seeking a Laser Operator to run precision laser cutting equipment in our Cheektowaga, NY facility. You will set up, operate, and monitor laser machines to cut metal components for aerospace, defense, transportation, and industrial customers. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting materials, adjusting programs, inspecting parts with precision tools, and maintaining equipment and work area. You'll collaborate closely with production and quality teams, follow strict safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting equipment to produce precision metal parts
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements
- Select materials, load sheets, and adjust machine programs and parameters
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and record quality data
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures and documentation
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet delivery and quality goals
- Identify and support process and quality improvement initiatives
