Location: New York

Description Overview:

  • Line Operator for 2nd shift at Perrigo facility (Bronx, New York).
  • Union position; starting pay rate: $17.00/hour.

    Hours:

    2:00pm–10:30pm Monday–Friday.
Scope of the Role:
  • Check schedule for assigned shop orders; visually check equipment cleanliness and complete cleaning forms.
  • Check pallet ; sign Inventory Control logbook; instruct Inventory Control where to place pallets.
  • Update dry-erase board with shop order info; notify supervisor to verify components.
  • Verify components against Packaging Card; confirm component checks by area supervisor and Q.A.; set up FIFO and stage components.
  • Request line supplies; check with mechanic that equipment is set up.
  • Load tubes onto filling machine magazine; load boxes onto boxer magazine (if accessible).
  • Check lot number/expiration date; check tube weight; notify Q.A for line release; document in Area/Equipment log books.
  • Complete In-process Control Forms; keep lines/equipment clean, remove PM stickers, and break up empty corrugations.
  • Secure documents/labels/inserts in appropriate cages during breaks; maintain clean floor area.
  • Request supply replenishment from inventory control with Q.A approval prior to usage.
  • Count/record units produced, damages, and destroys during PM/lot runs; document drum use/emptying on IPC (2) form.
  • Record tube/other component damages; complete Inventory Reconciliation for partial cases (destroy/return).
  • Properly destroy components into garbage bins/waste drums; notify supervisor when jobs/orders complete or if line problems occur.
  • Ensure equipment/work area is clear from previous components.
Experience

Required:
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English (required).
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
