Plant Manager

Azuria Water Solutions is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team located in Tappan, NY or near our manufacturing location. Azuria and its family of companies shield and protect the world's infrastructure from degradation and corrosion with a variety of technologies. Azuria's businesses comprise sewer, drinking water and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and corrosion protection for strengthening bridges, tunnels, buildings, waterfront, metal, and concrete structures.

Our companies provide cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines and infrastructure.

The Plant Manager will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing and will be an integral part of our Supply Chain Team working daily with our Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Fleet Administration, and Finance teams. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Wet Out Manufacturing facility, including safety, quality, production, cost, delivery, workforce management, inventory, equipment, and continuous improvement.

The Plant Manager will lead the plant team to safely and efficiently produce high-quality liners that meet customer and Field Operations requirements. This position is accountable for managing labor, materials, supplies, equipment, inventory, and other operating costs while continuously improving productivity and reducing waste. The role requires a hands-on leader who can develop people, establish accountability, improve processes, maintain operational discipline, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Logistics, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Field Operations.

Oversee line supervisor(s), hourly manufacturing personnel and administrative resources.

  • Safety & Quality:
    Build a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, maintain quality standards, and drive corrective actions.
  • Production & Operations:
    Deliver the production schedule safely, efficiently, and on time while optimizing labor and capacity.
  • Financial Performance:
    Own plant operating costs, labor productivity, material usage, WO variances, and budget performance.
  • Materials & Inventory:
    Ensure material availability, consumption accuracy, inventory control, and management of excess/obsolete inventory.
  • People & Workforce:
    Manage staffing, develop supervisors and employees, establish accountability, and build a strong talent and succession pipeline.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Improve productivity, eliminate waste, optimize plant flow, and implement best practices.
  • SIOP & Data:
    Maintain accurate production data and ensure alignment between manufacturing capacity, planning, and Field Operations requirements.
  • Maintenance & Equipment:
    Ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, minimize downtime, and develop repair, replacement, and CAPEX plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing people, production, cost, inventory, and equipment.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to understand and manage manufacturing costs.
  • Experience with production planning, labor management, inventory control, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and people-development skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; experience with JDE and Power BI preferred.
  • Should be capable of assuming the position of Area Manager of Wetout Operations within 3 to 5 years.
  • Passionate about quality and safety systems.
  • High level of personal integrity and credibility.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10 % of the time.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, ISO or Six Sigma.
