Kingston, NY | On-Site Pay: $19.00 - 22.00 / Hour Role and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operating various sewing machines including walking foot and various other lockstitch machines, as well as overlock/serger and other chain stitch machines, and automated sewing machines (bar tackers).Sewing products according to product specifications using machines and various attachments, including binders and other folders.

Must have ability to sew to exact measurements and tolerances as small as 1/16” and comprehending and executing according to written and verbal sewing instructions.

Advanced understanding of sewing standards such as thread tension and seam allowances.

Assisting in training new Sewing Machine Operators.

Inspecting and repairing work as needed and adjusting to compensate for errors or quality issues.

Ensuring work orders are carefully read and followed.

Meeting or exceeding consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals.

Ensuring accurate sewing times through using GUI computer system.

Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety rules, directions, procedures.

Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of assigned work area, machinery and shared spaces.

Additional tasks as assigned by Management.

Specialty tasks (does not apply to all workers):

Sewing Machine troubleshooting and repairs

Maintenance of sewing machines

Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or GEDA minimum of 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or sewing machine experience in a production environment.

Knowledge of production floor equipment and procedures.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

Adaptable to changing business needs.
