Galvanizing Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Responsibilities

Run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from metal objects to prepare them for galvanizing
Load objects onto cranes and racks or containers carried through chemical and rinsing baths
Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met
Follow safety rules and regulations
Report hazards, violations, or injuries to the Team Leader, no matter how minor
Work overtime and weekends as required by Team Leaders to meet customer needs

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
• Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs., and reach to perform job functions
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with conditions including cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, and ear plugs
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Both English and Spanish Speaking individuals are encouraged to apply

Demonstrates the ability to operate equipment for chemical cleaning of metal objects while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment. Capable of performing physical tasks in a manufacturing setting and effectively communicating in both English and Spanish.
