Salary Range: $29.00 To $34.00 Hourly

TITLE:Extrusion Process Technician PAY PLAN:
Hourly

PURPOSE OF POSITION:Provide support to manufacturing for equipment troubleshooting, problem solving, project planning and execution.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Develop process improvement programs that improve consistency and control of current department processes
• Ensure Quality, Production and Scrap goals are met
• Work with Engineering to improve machine efficiencies and reliability. May include new equipment evaluations and installations.
• Provide support to all Extrusion personnel as needed.
• Fill in for Group Leader as needed.
• Support the NCMR process: investigating root causes, corrective & preventative actions and material disposition.
• Responsible for promoting Safety and Food Safety compliance.
• Provide technical training for operating personal on upgrades to machines
• Investigates new methods to improve performance including equipment upgrades & modifications, process improvements and troubleshooting methods.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance: TPM and PM coordination and support.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

• 5+ years in extrusion operations. Knowledgeable in slitting, printing and bag conversion is desirable.
• Requires strong analytical skills for reporting key metrics to management and staff.
• Must have strong computer skills.
• Must possess a working knowledge of statistical analysis used in process control (charting techniques and process capability studies)
• Previous manufacturing experience with significant customer interaction a must.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to travel as required.
• Capable of, and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Good mathematical skills.
• Continuous learning will be expected
• Able to work overtime as required
