Our client, a wholesale fashion company in Manhattan is seeking a Production Coordinator to support the end-to-end apparel production process from development handoff through bulk production and delivery. In this role, you will manage production timelines, coordinate sample approvals, interface daily with overseas vendors, and ensure on-time delivery of quality goods while maintaining brand standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timeline & WIP Management: Maintain T&A calendars, track WIP reports from pre-production through final delivery, and proactively mitigate shipment risks.
  • Order & Vendor Coordination: Issue detailed order sheets (quantities, pricing, size ratios, packing instructions) to overseas offices and communicate daily with factories regarding production status.
  • Packaging & Ticketing: Order price tickets, approve multi-lingual care labels, hangtags, polybags, and carton markings, ensuring adherence to customer vendor guides.
  • Sample & Trim Approvals: Track all sample stages (Fit, PP, TOP, AD) and manage approval logs for fabrics, trims, lab dips, and strike-offs.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Partner closely with Design, Technical Design, and Merchandising to ensure seamless handoffs and tech pack updates.
  • Data & Systems Maintenance: Manage production trackers and update PLM systems (Blue Cherry, Data metrics, Excel) to ensure data accuracy across all active programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in apparel production or sourcing; solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and trim.
  • Technical

    Skills:


    Advanced MS Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
  • Systems: Experience with PLM platforms (e.g., Blue Cherry, Exenta, Data metrics) preferred.
  • Retailer Knowledge: Experience with accounts such as TJX, Burlington, BJs, Walmart, and Costco is a plus
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills, with a track record of effectively working with overseas partners.
