Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Machine Operator, CNC Machinist
We're a 35-person shop in a 33,000 sq ft facility, family-owned since 1934, ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certified. We machine acrylic, polycarbonate, UHMW, PTFE and other engineering plastics, and we've expanded into aluminum and steel, for aerospace, industrial, retail display and prototype customers.
The program is already written by the time it gets to you. You take the setup sheet, load the fixture, load the stock, set your offsets, and run the cycle. You watch it while it runs, unload the part, check it against the print with calipers or gauges, and get the next one going. No programming, no CAM software - that's someone else's job.
Yours is making sure every part that comes off the machine is right.
- - Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30. Occasional overtime when a job runs long.
- - Health, dental, life, 401(k), paid vacation, sick leave and 10 paid holidays.
- - Work next to a head machinist with over 30 years on the floor.
- - Real path to a full Machinist role if you want it - we promote from inside.
- - 92 years in business. We're not going anywhere.
- Can follow a written setup sheet exactly, no shortcuts.
- - Comfortable with hand tools, calipers and basic measuring.
- - Careful and detail-oriented - stock and tooling aren't cheap.
- - HS diploma or GED, driver's license, reliable ride to West Nyack.
- - Able to stand and handle parts through a full shift.
You do not need CNC programming or CAM software experience for this role.
NICE TO HAVE- Any hands-on time on a CNC mill or lathe
- - Mechanical aptitude - you've taken things apart and put them back together
- - Interest in learning to program down the road
