Lead daily plant operations at our South Onondaga sand and gravel operation, ensuring safe, efficient aggregate production while developing teams, improving performance, and supporting business goals.
What You'll Be DoingLead and coordinate plant operations in a quarry environment, ensuring safe and efficient production of aggregates materials to meet targets
Monitor and optimize performance of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment; partner with maintenance to address breakdowns and minimize downtime
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, material quality, and cost efficiency across plant operations
Maintain accurate production, inventory, and shift reports; ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company standards
Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing safe work practices, conducting inspections, and leading by example
Provide direction and support to plant personnel, fostering teamwork, accountability, and operational discipline
What Are We Looking ForExperience in aggregates, mining, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred
Working knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying systems, and mobile or stationary plant equipment
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead crews in a high-production quarry environment
Ability to interpret production data, identify trends, and make real-time operational decisions
Solid understanding of safety standards and regulations (MSHA experience preferred)
Hands‑on problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, outdoor operation
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally with maintenance, quality, and operations teams
This position operates in an outdoor quarry and plant environment with exposure to moving equipment, varying weather conditions, dust, and elevated noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
