The Mechanical Machine Assembler’s primary function is to precisely assemble mechanical components and systems.
Job Duties:
- Assemble parts, pieces and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
- Use various equipment to join, fasten, and connect parts.
- Handle electrical wiring tasks, including connecting motors, control panels, sensors, and switches.
- Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
- Record daily production and maintain production quotas on Duro Dyne forms.
- Maintain records of assembly activities, including documenting any modifications, defects, or adjustments made during the assembly process.
- Load all raw materials as needed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to read/write.
- Must be able to read/write drawings and wiring diagrams in English.
- Must be able to use wire cutters, crimpers, screw drivers, & electric drills.
- Must be able to operate an electrical wire soldering tool.
- Must be able to work 10 hours days 4 days a week.
- Must be able to work OT.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.
Physical Requirements
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must have good eye/hand coordination.
- Must be able to lift up 20 lbs. routinely.
- Must be able to sit stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
- Use of one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment. Controls include, but are not limited to, pedals, buttons, levers, and cranks.
- Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
Note:
Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand to hold or operate a tool such as pliers.
Compensation:This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $17.00-$22.00/hour
. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
