Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

Eastern Additive Solutions is a new production 3D printing factory in Hopewell Junction. We run industrial HP Multi Jet Fusion equipment and make end-use plastic parts for medical, robotics, and industrial customers. Most of our current work is orthotics and prosthetics, which means the parts we make are worn by real people who are counting on them to fit and last.

We are a small team in a new facility. You would be our first production technician, working directly alongside the people who run the company

Pay

$22 to $28 per hour to start, depending on relevant experience, with defined step increases tied to station qualifications and quality reviewer certification. Standard benefits once eligible. We state the range up front on purpose. You should not have to discover it in a third interview.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, day shift, on-site at 20 Corporate Park, Hopewell Junction. Early on, the whole team works the same hours while we build out our processes together. As production grows, this role may move to a shifted schedule to extend floor coverage, and we will plan that together in advance.

Responsibilities

Who we are looking for

We would rather train the right person than hire someone who already knows how to do this. Almost nobody has run this equipment before, so we are not looking for a resume full of 3D printing. We are looking for someone who is good with their hands, careful by nature, and reliable, and who wants to learn a trade that very few people in this country actually have.

If you have worked with tools, run equipment, built things, fixed things, or done any work where doing it right mattered more than doing it fast, we want to hear from you. We will teach you the rest, station by station, from the ground up.

What you will do

  • Post-process printed parts: remove powder from finished parts, including detailed hand work on complicated shapes, and run automated and manual blast equipment
  • Tend industrial 3D printing equipment: load material, swap build units, unpack finished builds, and keep the machines clean and ready
  • Support finishing operations, including vapor smoothing and dyeing
  • Pack, label, and stage orders for shipment, keeping every part identified and traceable
  • Support quality inspection: stage parts for measurement and photo documentation
  • Keep the production floor in order: powder containment, station upkeep, and maintaining the separation between clean and dirty work zones. In a powder factory, cleaning is process control, not a chore.
  • Help write our work instructions. As you learn each station, you will draft the procedure for it and our engineer will correct and approve it. You learn the process by documenting it.
  • General floor support: material moves, setups, receiving, and whatever the day needs

How you will work

Everything here runs on written procedures and documented sign-offs. You will train one station at a time, and you will not be asked to run anything on your own until you have been trained and cleared on it. Nobody at EAS, at any level, signs off on their own work. Your job will be to follow the procedure exactly and to speak up when the procedure does not match what you are seeing on the floor.

Both halves matter equally, and the second one matters more than new people usually expect.

Qualifications

What we need from you

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on, physical work
  • Ability to follow written procedures exactly, and to flag it when something does not look right
  • Attention to detail, particularly with part identity, labeling, and keeping track of what is what
  • Comfortable working in a powder environment with full PPE, including a respirator
  • Able to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
  • Reliable attendance. Being here when you said…
