Fresh Direct is currently seeking a Jr. Culinary Roundsman in Training in the New York City area. This position is responsible for learning all positions of the day-to-day production of the specific HMR work center ensuring the highest-level quality of service provided by our associates, while supporting the policies, goal, and objectives of the company.
What You’ll Do- Understand and ensure compliance with:
Food Safety, GMP’s Safety & Sanitation compliance and FD’s Quality policies; as well as ensure that the work area is safe, clean and organized for all team members to work. - Learn to work in all positions related to the production of that work center and to ensure all production is completed.
- Ensure accuracy of all order fulfillment, processing, and production requirements.
- Work with all staff members, Team Leader, Supervisor, and Manager when issues arise.
- Offer suggestions on how to change and/or make work load easier and more efficient.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights
