Computer Numerical Control Machinist - Lead

Our commitment to quality and advanced manufacturing techniques has made us a trusted name in the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machine Team Lead to lead our machining operations and drive efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in our facility.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machine Team Lead to oversee our machine shop operations, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in the production of our plastic bag machinery components. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of CNC machining experience
, expertise in Mastercam programming
, Doosan CNC Machines and strong leadership skills to manage and support a team of machinists.

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring optimal workflow and production efficiency.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using Mastercam to produce high-precision components, as well as, manual development of programming.
• Supervise and mentor a team of at least two machine shop workers
  , providing guidance and training as needed.
• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming, tooling, and machine performance.
• Maintain quality control by performing inspections and ensuring all parts meet required tolerances.
• Manage machine shop scheduling, prioritizing tasks to meet production deadlines.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes and efficiency.
• Monitor and maintain CNC equipment, scheduling routine maintenance and repairs as needed.

• Minimum 6 years of CNC machining experience

• Proven leadership experience in a machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CNC machine setup.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with OSHA standards.

• Technical Expert: Mastery of Mastercam (3-axis machines). Able to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot independently. Must possess great passion for their craft and always looking to improve.
• Shop Leader: Takes instant operational control of the floor. Establishes strong attendance, reliability, and culture by example. Forward thinker that is able to identify problems and take control of a situation.
• Workflow Manager: Handles material ordering and scheduling. Manages a production mix where 75% of the workload consists of executing multiple repeatable runs for parts. Great communicator to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
