Senior Handbag Designer

Ideal candidate must have a keen eye for fashion and the ability to follow and identify trends (including novelty and embellishments). With experience specifically in handbag design requiring a technical handbag skill set with previous design experience. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast pace team environment and be able to move from one project to another seamlessly requiring a tremendous amount of flexibility per project basis.

Must be proficient in illustrator, photoshop, with the ability to CAD and generate technical handbag specs, to scale novelty placements and embellishments, Hardware technical experience a plus. Must be proficient in excel and be able to generate style charts for seamless factory correspondence. Excellent communication skills are essential to perform required tasks as well as thrive in a team atmosphere.

• Handbag experience is required 5-10 years
• Ability to generate tech packs for all handbag design and development
• Ability to source and choose materials
• Ability to update and revise existing technical specs with design changes
• Finalize technical specs in prep for production
• Assemble visual line plans
• Generate excel spread sheets for sample tracking and seamless factory communication
• Must have PLM experience
• Create seasonal material cards
• Correspond with factories on a daily basis during product development phase and sample follow up.
• Coordinate all sample requests from sales and retail buying teams

Salary $110,000-$130,000
