Process metal components to specifications (e.g., clean, deburr, polish, strengthen, finish to size).
GENERAL DUTIES :Load, unload, set-up operate, monitor various metal processing and finishing equipment. (i.e., lorcos, washers, Jensen Dryers, shot peens, harperizers, swecos, molycote tumbler, Saturn 2900, etc.).
Maintain accurate processing reports. Transport material to and from designated areas.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS :Receive instructions from Supervisors, follows routing tickets and implement manufacturing specifications. Transports material with use of appropriate equipment (i.e., fork trucks, hand trucks, hand carts, elect hoists). Uses semi-complicated gauging equipment and computer operated interface panels with graphic displays. Completes SPC requirements. The incumbent is required to disassemble/reassemble specific parts on equipment. Mathematical computations involving decimals. Routine decisions based on specific criteria to meet manufacturing standards, interpersonal relations require explanation and/or interpretation of information.
Performs work in accordance with a wide range of safety procedures. Heavy physical exertion is required.
Incumbent will maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
