Packaging Operator Job Opportunity!

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the Manufacturing and Production team, supporting high-speed automated packaging operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent teamwork skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Packaging Operator

Pay Range:$24.50 per hour

Shift:Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 12.5-hour shifts | 2/2/3 rotation

What’s the Job?

• Operate state-of-the-art automated toothpaste packaging lines running at speeds of up to 450 tubes per minute.
• Handle packaging materials and finished goods, including cartons, labels, pallets, caps, wrapping materials, and other production supplies.
• Perform routine quality checks, document production activities, and complete material transactions using computerized systems such as SAP.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while performing autonomous maintenance and assisting maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance activities.
• Follow manufacturing procedures and safety requirements while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and maintain production efficiency.

What’s Needed?

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/3 rotation schedule, including alternating weekends.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, file access, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 55 lbs. and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred; experience with machinery, equipment maintenance, changeovers, pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
