Production Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team in Orangeburg, NY. This is an onsite contract position offering a pay rate between $21 and $23 per hour, with additional compensation for shift differentials. Candidates should be available for either first shift (6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm) or second shift (2:00pm-10:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm), Monday through Friday.

Core Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and organization across all production zones to foster a compliant environment aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Execute necessary repairs and routine maintenance for production machinery, facility infrastructure, wells, and safety apparatus.
• Support the seamless and uninterrupted functionality of all production platforms.
• Record production data, verify the integrity of safety and environmental systems, and keep thorough logs of all daily operations.
• Utilize foundational troubleshooting abilities and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems to resolve technical issues.
• Implement effective scheduling and planning strategies to optimize the care and longevity of production assets.
• Drive process efficiency by consistently hitting production targets and suggesting meaningful operational improvements.
• Generate precise and comprehensive documentation, including logs, batch records, and equipment reports.
• Prioritize workplace safety by strictly adhering to all established company protocols while performing your duties.
• Contribute to the success of the team by ensuring high quality standards and steady production output.
• Utilize provided safety gear, including goggles and gloves, to maintain a protected work environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Diploma or an equivalent educational credential.
• At least one year of professional experience within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven background working directly on production lines.
• Demonstrated history of operating within environments governed by GMP and SOP regulations.
• Capability to execute comprehensive maintenance and repair tasks as required.
• Proficiency in identifying and fixing basic mechanical or system malfunctions.
• Understanding of protocols regarding safety and environmental testing.
• Strong attention to detail when managing reports and documentation.
• Expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
• Competency in conducting thorough machine safety inspections.
• Educational background equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED.
• Practical experience within a manufacturing facility.
