CNC Machinist: Apprentice​/Mechatronics Technology

Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking interested individuals for entry positions for CNC Machinist with machine operator skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the classroom or in the field of CNC machining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CNC machining operations to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Apply knowledge of tool data, radial compensation, feeds and speeds, and cutting tool applications.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain equipment, tooling, and workstations in clean and safe condition.
• Follow and contribute to lean manufacturing and best industry practices.
• Work independently while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or an education in Mechatronics Technology, is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of radial compensation and tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting tool selection, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or other industry quality standards a plus.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
