Position OverviewThe Integrated Sr. Strategist is responsible for the fluidity and efficient execution of all account maintenance tasks in coordination with the Supervisor, ensuring that all campaign and administrative items are communicated to the appropriate teams and partner agencies in a timely manner. The Integrated Sr. Strategist is also a key player in the activation of digital media, as all digital media is not only planned but executed through the integrated strategy function.
MainDuties and Responsibilities
- 30% – Strategic Planning: manage day‑to‑day media plan development, budgetary analysis, buy maintenance and implementation of campaigns, utilizing Horizon’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools (Nielsen, Comscore, eMarketer, Forrester) for competitive analysis and reporting.
- 20% – Client Relations: build and foster open communication with clients and media partners, provide critical thinking and analysis to draw actionable implications, remain current on status of media assignments to inform weekly internal and client status reports.
25% – Stewardship: effectively manage all daily tasks and guide development and education of junior members of the team, generate insertion orders, maintain plan records and contact lists, and ensure accurate plan details. - 25% – Media Activation: participate in and lead team brainstorms to develop plan and consideration sets for all channels, monitor trends and opportunities in the media landscape, create media‑specific documents (RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategies decks), coordinate review of RFP submissions for social media integrations, and execute campaign post‑launch information for client proof of placement.
- Traffic plan assets such as creative and required tracking tags.
- Set up third‑party ad server/tracker system and ensure sites are enabled, functioning properly and all materials are received from creative agency.
- Execute quality assurance of tracking functionality and creative units.
- Enter and manage plans in billing system, track insertion orders, creatives, and traffic sheets.
- Monitors, manages and optimizes self‑service paid social activation across Facebook, Twitter and other relevant social platforms, including buy set‑up and targeting selections.
- Manages day‑to‑day communication with key partners: vendors, partner agencies and creative media and social clients.
- Guide development of junior strategists within Horizon and the industry.
- Delegate and manage strategist daily tasks, reviewing all finalized work for internal or client distribution.
- Contribute to performance reviews of strategists, identifying strengths and areas for growth.
- Minimum 2–3 years planning experience with multiple media channels.
- Solid understanding of media math, terminology and analytical tools (Nielsen, Comscore).
- Proficiency with digital campaign setup and trafficking in Prisma, SBMS, DCM, Innovid, DV.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem‑solving mentality.
- Professional demeanor and strong client relationship management experience.
- Experience developing and presenting plan presentations.
