Champagne Specialist – SoHo Experiential

Join to apply for the Champagne Specialist role at SoHo Experiential. The position is full‑time and based in the NY Metro area, requiring up to 70% travel across California, Florida, New York (Metro) and Texas.

Base Pay Range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

About the Role

The Champagne Specialist focuses on brand building, education, and selling activities for the ultra‑premium Campari Wine & Champagne portfolio—Lallier and Fleur de Miraval (with some overlap to Miraval Provence). A natural public speaker with deep knowledge of the ultra‑premium Champagne category, you will act as the key point‑of‑contact for the brands among trade. You will work closely with the President and collaborate with local Sales/Distributor teams.

Core

Job Duties & Skills
  • Serve as product knowledge expert for the Campari Champagne brands, including Lallier and Fleur de Miraval, and for the category as a whole.
  • Educate trade and distributor partners on key points of differentiation in a crowded category.
  • Support sales team with distributor meetings, sommelier tastings, staff training, commercial work‑ups and trade events/private‑client events.
  • Call on target accounts per market to drive distribution, velocity and visibility.
  • Collaborate with local Sales/Distributor teams on forecasting, pricing and order fulfillment.
  • Convert key trade and distributor partners into brand advocates.
  • Represent the brand at consumer tastings and events.
Trade Outreach & Engagement
  • Build relationships with influential target accounts (wine/beverage buyers, floor sommeliers, GMs, bar staff).
  • Deliver engaging storytelling and presentations to educate accounts.
  • Maintain a CRM database of wine professionals to optimize trade outreach.
  • Work with On‑Premise and Off‑Premise distributor sales consultants and Campari Sales Team to funnel opportunities.
  • Support creation of unique brand experiences to motivate trade and drive consideration.
Events
  • Attend high‑level events and support the brand as needed.
  • Assist in planning and/or execution of select consumer and trade events.
  • Identify and execute critical trade events to build trade awareness and advocacy.
Reporting & Administration
  • Meet with Campari HQ, Local Sales, and Distributors to track KPI status quarterly.
  • Report market intelligence and trends to inform planning monthly.
  • Hold status meetings with line manager bi‑weekly.
  • Maintain timely T&E reporting.

  • Support brand programs with promotion/recruiting and hosting.
  • Identify industry trends and leverage them.
  • Support new product and innovation projects.
  • Help develop, audit and manage brand training tool kits and materials.
  • Liaise with Global Ambassadors for brand consistency.
Experience & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma;
    Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Proven category and brand expertise.
  • Current brand ambassador or wine/spirits sales experience.
  • Sommelier certification (CSS, WSET or similar) highly preferred.
  • Ability to embody brand essence in behavior and messaging.
  • Experience with ultra‑premium brands and clientele.
  • Cross‑channel familiarity and experience required.
  • Strong network within Wine Industry/Influencer communities.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Teams proficiency.
  • French speaking a plus.
