The Director, Creative Strategy is a senior contributor who leads day-to-day creative development across key clients, Publicis Groupe partnerships, and high-priority new business opportunities. This role translates data, audience insights, and brand strategy into clear creator-led ideas that inspire content, drive performance, and support integrated creative excellence across the Groupe.
Reporting to the VP of Creative Strategy, the Director oversees Creative Strategists across assigned agency groups, ensuring work is consistent, insight-driven, and aligned with client needs and internal frameworks. This leader champions creator-first thinking, strengthens cross-functional collaboration, and maintains high standards across briefs, storytelling, and deliverables.
The Director brings strong strategic thinking, creative rigor, and cultural fluency. They help shape frameworks, refine ideas, and elevate work through clarity, insight, and partnership.
Responsibilities- Lead creative strategy development for high priority growth clients initiatives, shaping creator-first ideas that reflect audience insights, brand goals, and platform best practices.
- Manage and mentor Creative Strategists, providing coaching on storytelling, brief writing, structure, and application of frameworks.
- Partner with Strategy, Analytics, Creator Partnerships, Media, Client Solutions, and Design to deliver unified creative recommendations rooted in data and performance intelligence.
- Build clear, concise creator briefs that translate brand strategy into actionable direction for creators.
- Ensure creative quality across proposals, content concepts, and pitch narratives, refining ideas and elevating structure, clarity, and persuasion.
- Support workflow planning, resourcing discussions, and process consistency in collaboration with Creative Operations. Serve as a key contributor in client presentations, interagency meetings, and Publicis forums, helping represent Influential's creative point of view.
- Stay ahead of creator, culture, and platform trends, bringing forward new approaches that strengthen creative strategy and fuel innovation.
- 8 years in creative strategy, brand storytelling, or influencer marketing.
- Experience managing and mentoring creative teams within agency or multi-agency environments.
- Proven ability to translate insights into cohesive creator-led ideas that drive business outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to clients and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated success contributing to proposals, pitches, and integrated creative development. Excellent visual and verbal storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of creator culture, platform behaviors, and social trends.
