Location: New York

Televisa Univision is seeking a highly experienced and motivated senior sales executive to lead our Ad Sales Sports Advertising team. The EVP/SVP, Sports Sales Optimization, will serve as the senior executive responsible for shaping and executing the company's sports advertising sales strategy. This quota‑bearing role will drive revenue growth, oversee quarterly performance, and lead high‑performing sales teams to achieve ambitious business objectives.

DAY-DAY:
  • Develop and execute strategy
    :
    Define and implement the company's overall revenue and sales strategy for sports advertising to support business growth. This includes cultivating high-level relationships with major brands and advertising agencies, a deep level of understanding of the content, developing integrated marketing solutions across multiple platforms (linear TV, streaming, digital, social, experiential)
  • Revenue Generation
    :
    Overseeing and growing all advertising and sponsorship revenue streams, setting sales goals, and leading forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Strategic Planning
    :
    Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to maximize revenue across various platforms (linear TV, digital, social, sponsor ships, etc.).
  • Team Leadership
    :
    Building, managing, mentoring, and motivating a high-performing sales team, including setting performance metrics and incentive programs.
  • Client Relations
    :
    Cultivating strong, C-suite-level relationships with key advertisers, agencies, and partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    :
    Working closely with marketing, programming, production, and finance teams to create integrated, compelling sales packages and ensure compliance. Serve as the primary liaison between the sales team and other departments (e.g., Ad Operations, P&S, Data & Analytics) to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Market Intelligence
    :
    Staying ahead of industry trends, ad technologies, and market shifts to identify new revenue opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and shifts in fan consumption habits (e.g., streaming adoption, digital analytics) to identify new business opportunities and innovate ad products.
  • Integrated Marketing & Content Solutions: Collaborate with marketing, content, and product teams to design and sell integrated advertising packages that leverage a full suite of assets, including media rights, digital content, and experiential opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between the sales team and other departments (e.g., Ad Operations, Production, Legal, Data & Analytics) to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment with overall business objectives.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's Degree required or at least 10+ years of Marketing/Sales in media or advertising sales, with a proven track record of success in a senior leadership role and a deep understanding of the sports content ecosystem.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Streaming/OTT, Social, Digital, a/o Audience/Advanced TV, and strong Linear experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead a team in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to develop a strategic vision, use data-driven insights & analytics to inform decisions, and adapt to a rapidly changing media landscape.
  • Strong financial literacy, negotiation skills, and a results‑driven, entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience in a sales/business development capacity working directly with high-level decision makers c-suite (i.e. CMOs, CGOs, SVPs, and VPs of Marketing, Brand Managers, and advertising agencies)
  • Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; influence and bring together multiple stakeholders to present compelling ideas and enable our teams to execute on them.
  • Must bring unique strengths in the areas of strategic thinking and analytical capability coupled with business strategy.
