Senior Manager, Media Relations – New York, NY.

The Senior Manager of Media Relations will play a pivotal role in shaping how the World of Red Bull is editorially represented across prominent national and international media platforms.

In this role, they will craft and deliver key messages, pitch compelling story angles, and collaborate with leading earned media outlets to develop engaging content ideas designed to captivate and inspire our audience. Additionally, they will act as a correspondent for the Red Bull Media Network across regions, focusing on uncovering local stories with potential for national and global media impact.

They will collaborate closely with national and regional Communications Managers to refine and elevate their story concepts and content for maximum earned media effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is expected to possess a strong blend of skills, including expertise in identifying editorial stories and pitching to the media, creative writing abilities, an established network of relevant U.S. national lifestyle media contacts, exceptional project management capabilities, and strong partnership-building proficiency. These attributes will enable them to contribute effectively to the overarching strategic goals of the Red Bull Media Network.

  • Build and nurture relationships with prominent national media outlets.

    Strategically pitch nationally and globally significant stories related to the World of Red Bull (Sports, Culture, and Brand) to specific media outlets.

    Create and execute exceptional media experiences while hosting national media partners at Red Bull's premier events.

    Secure feature stories that showcase Red Bull's prominent athletes and artists in appropriate media channels.

  • Maintain close attention to significant trends and developments in the editorial media landscape that influence the earned media strategies of Communication Managers at Red Bull North America.

    Provide earned media insights and knowledge resources informed by direct engagement with editorial media partners and thorough industry research.

Experience Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • A communication/public relations professional with extensive media contacts across the United States.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in communications, public relations, or marketing within media-driven companies or agencies.
  • A demonstrated history of successfully leading projects and achieving brand reach and engagement through earned media amplification.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify compelling stories with strong brand alignment that drive conversations and resonate with key national media outlets.
  • Strong expertise in media pitching and relationship-building with leading U.S. lifestyle, sports, culture, and entertainment publications.
  • Proven experience in managing media partnerships across multiple platforms.
  • A natural talent for discovering stories with significant media potential.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills alongside excellent presentation abilities.
  • A collaborative and adaptable team player who ensures tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Passionate about sports, lifestyle, music, dance, and media.
  • Highly creative and analytical, with exceptional collaboration, execution, and organizational abilities.
  • Possesses a hands‑on approach, capable of supporting content management strategies and overseeing reporting and analysis processes.
