Job Description
Mower is a fiercely independent, 100% employee‑owned, full‑service advertising, marketing, and public relations agency with team members located across the United States. The Mower Media team has a terrific opportunity for an Assistant Media Planner to assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of media campaigns across multiple media channels. This is an entry‑level position that will lead to the development of a media career.
The position is essential to the day‑to‑day running of media accounts and requires an individual that works well in a team‑based, fast‑paced, and detail‑oriented environment.
- Support the media team with planning, buying, and reporting of media campaigns
- Help set up, manage, and execute a campaign throughout the campaign lifecycle
- Assist with trafficking campaigns in ad servers and platforms
- Help maintain media flowcharts, budgets, pacing trackers, and optimization logs
- Document and improve internal processes to increase team efficiency
- Ensure proper entries into financial systems, including reconciliations
- Pull and interpret accounting and media reports to assist in hitting monthly payment and reconciliation goals across all clients
- Responsible for processing all monthly media vendor invoicing across traditional and digital tactics
- Assist media lead with monthly client billing as needed
- Analyze media performance and develop insights and recommended optimizations
- Build and maintain relationships with media partners
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience; preferably agency experience or marketing‑related internship
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational habits for managing many small tasks at once
- Willingness to own administrative tasks with accuracy, consistency, and urgency
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, media partners, and internal teams
- Ability to work in multiple platforms and systems (project management, buying, accounting, etc.)
- Experience working both traditional and digital media, including emerging channels
- Desire to work in a fast‑paced, quickly changing, technology‑focused industry
Salary Range: $20 – $26 per hour
- Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience.
