We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

In this role, you'll play a key part in planning and delivering creative publicity campaigns for our academic and trade publishing lists. Working closely with colleagues across editorial, sales and marketing, you'll help raise the profile of our authors and publications across print, broadcast and online media.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering strategic publicity campaigns that support sales and brand objectives
  • Writing and pitching press releases, features, interviews and commentary to national and international media
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, broadcasters and media contacts
  • Handling media enquiries and supporting the day‑to‑day running of the publicity function
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure joined‑up campaigns
  • Reporting on media coverage and campaign impact
  • Providing excellent author care throughout the publicity process

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face‑to‑face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long‑term health condition.
